NDA Full Form

The Full Form of NDA is the “National Defence Academy“. In Hindi NDA is known as “राष्ट्रीय रक्षा अकादमी”.

National Defence Academy (NDA) is a national level exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). it is done twice a year.

NDA Exam is a national level entrance exam that is to select candidates for Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA and Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC).

National Defence Academy & Naval Academy (NDA & NA) is conducted twice a year that is NDA 1 and NDA 2. The exam calendar for NDA and NA is released by UPSC. After appearing in the written exam, the shortlisted candidates will be called for the SSB Interview process.

Eligibility for NDA 2021

For NDA 2021, the following are the Eligibility details, please read the eligibility for NDA 2021 carefully:

Educational Qualification

Navy, Air Force, and Naval Academy of NDA: The aspirants should qualify for the Class 12 or HSC exam under the 10+2 exam pattern, which should be conducted by State Education Board or University.

Army Wing of NDA: The candidates should pass the class 12 or HSC exam under a 10+2 pattern exam from any school, education Board or equivalent University.

Age Limit

  • If the candidates have not been born after 1 July 2005 and not before 2 July 2001, are also eligible to appear for NDA (I) exam.
  • For NDA (II), the candidates should not be born before 2 January 2002, and not after 1 January 2005.
  • Date of Birth(DOB) is examined according to Matricular or Secondary School Leaving Certificate or should be recognized by the Indian University.

Foreign Nationals

  • If the foreign nationals want to apply for the exam, they need to issue an eligibility certificate from Govt. of India.
